With the new season comes the natural desire to make things better and brighter, and there’s never a better time to throw open the windows, breathe a breath of fresh air and make our homes the happy and healthy places they should be.

Getting Started

  • Designate a few containers for organizing items in each room: one for garage sales, one for donations, a box to be recycled and a garbage bag for items to toss.
  • Create your own chemical-free, all-purpose cleaners powered by Essential Oils. For kitchen counters, sinks and other hard surfaces add 8–10 drops of Pink Grapefruit essential oil to a spray bottle filled with distilled water. For bathrooms, add 15–20 drops of Tea Tree or Lemongrass essential oil to 4 oz. of soapy water.
  • It’s best to clean windows on cloudy days so the solution won’t dry too fast. Instead of retail cleansers, make your own chemical-free window cleaner by blending 5 drops of Lemon oil to 2/3 cup white vinegar and 1 1/3 cups distilled water in a spray bottle. Wipe clean with newspaper or a microfiber cloth.
  • To deep-clean a mattress, toss the cover in the wash then add 4–5 drops of Lavender essential oil to 1 cup baking soda and sprinkle evenly. Allow mixture to sit for one hour (to draw dirt, moisture and odors from the fibers) then vacuum.
  • Refresh closets and dresser drawers by adding several drops of a Refreshing Essential Oil blend to cotton balls and tuck them inside.

Cleaning house isn’t the only target you should aim for this spring. Cleansing your body—the home of your spirit and soul—is even more important. Cleansing is a foundation of healthy living and should take place every single day.

Here’s a quick Clean Body Checklist for a new you this spring.

  1. Avoid exposure. Decrease the number of chemicals and pollutants you expose your body to regularly by reading labels, eating organic and avoiding processed foods.
  2. Eat well. Focus on a high-nutrient intake daily. Supplement healthful meals with a protein shake, essential fatty acids, multi-vitamin and antioxidants.
  3. Aim for a minimum of 9 cups of liquid intake daily (13 cups for men). Add liquid chlorophyll to your morning glass of water to support the body’s blood-cleansing functions and strengthen the immune and intestinal systems.
  4. Cardio exercise supports cleansing through sweating and encourages the release of toxins from adipose tissue during weight loss.
  5. Enhance elimination. Promote waste removal by increasing your fiber intake. Supplement your healthy diet with the nutrients your body needs to help neutralize, prepare and convert toxins for elimination.

We Recommend

Detoxification Program

  • Support gut health to combat endotoxins
  • Consume shelf-stable probiotics and prebiotics to support balance of the microbiome
  • Support toxin elimination
  • Support the liver, circulatory, glandular and immune systems
  • Consume powerful antioxidants
